Chris
Chris’ Bio: Chris is your normal 27-year-old run of the mill American male. He likes sex, talking about sex, thinking about sex and actually having sex. He has yet to have a truly gay experience, though he did once accidently kiss his best friend Alex, but Chris had just come back from the dentist and couldn’t feel anything because of the Novocain, so that doesn’t count (but because Alex wasn’t fortunate to have the Novocain excuse, he can claim that as a gay experience.) Chris has been married to the same lady since 2005. His wife is lovely, understanding lady who doesn’t listen to the show and doesn’t care what he says on the show. Chris currently attends George Mason University, majoring in Journalism and hopes to parlay this all into some kind of writing/speaking job at some point.
Of course, the best way to get to know Chris (or Bruna for that matter) is to listen to the show. Unless, you want to buy us dinner… we’d be great dinner companions and we’ll probably put out (well, Chris will probably put out, Bruna isn’t as easy.) Chris’ beer of choice is Coors Original or a Black and Tan if in an Irish pub. His drink of choice is a Seven and Seven. Chris also loves red wine (specifically Coppola Claret) or really any Pinot Noir and after a couple of glasses becomes super sassy.
Chris love’s your fashion sense and thinks that that skirt you are wearing look fabulous and doesn’t make your ass look big at all.

Chris’ Top Ten Favorite Songs of All Time (in no particular order)
1) Bruce Springsteen – Thunder Road
While the song is great, this particular performance in 75 at Hammersmith Odeon is the cream of the crop. Some much emotion and the piano. I’ve have listened to this, on repeat, for hours on end. Here’s a Youtube video of it.
2) Jonathan Coulton – Skullcrusher Mountain
This is one of those funny, touching, sad, awesome songs that has also been subject to repeat button on my iPod. The song is fucking epic and beautiful. The first time you hear it, you want to laugh. The tenth time you hear it, you want to cry. Man it is good.
3) The Allman Brothes – No One to Run With
Just a kick ass tune. It tends to get me pumped and makes me want to go out and have a good time. The guitar work is great and its fun as fuck. What else to say, I know not. The youtube clip of them on the tonight show is not the best representation of the sign, but it’s close.
There is almost no better song to sing drunk with a bunch of drunk friends. I’ve hosted many a party that, after much of the debauchery subsided, ended with a bunch of people shouting the lyrics to Piano Man at 4am. It’s pretty good sober too, but it is fucking awesome when you are drunk and need to sing a song. Plus, it’s a fun little story about a bunch of sad little stories. I’m a sucker for a story song.
5) Bob Dylan – Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright
All ten of the songs on this list could be Dylan songs. I’m a bit obsessed with the man, but I decided to limit it to one. Don’t Think Twice hits me in a really personal place every time I hear it. It’s a breakup song, that while being really passive agressive an full of blame and full of self delusion, is also about that strong desire to move on while not being able to. My favorite version is the Gaslamp version, but the album version is strong as well. Dylans best breakup album is Blood on the Tracks. Every song on there is awesome. Dylan is god.
6) Nirvana – The Man Who Sold the World (David Bowie cover)
I’m not a huge Nirvana fan, but absolutly love their Unplugged Album, and my favorite song off of it is The Man Who Sold th World. Kurt Cobain managed put another layer onto the song, that Bowie could never have achieved. The song is also quite haunting. From the main riff to the being “Face to Face with the man who sold the world.” Just love it.
7) Jewel – Sometimes It Be That Way
Here is the selection that I might get a little shit for. Call me a fag, but I love Jewel and not just because she is blond with a nice ass and big tits. I’ve seen her in concert and she is just hot, funny, and write really good lyrics (fuck you Kurt Loder). It was one of the best concerts I’ve seen. Sometimes It Be That Way is my favorite song of hers and, as I just learned from this youtube clip, she wrote it while touring with Bob Dylan. I didn’t know that, but subconsciencly it probably had something to do with. I love the word play in the song “I’m sorry that Jesus died for my sings, and I swear to god, it won’t happen again.” That being said, if I never hear Foolish Games again, I would be so fuckin’ happy.
This should redeem me a little, right? Something to clense the Jewel off the palate, right? RIGHT? Ugh! Anyway, if Piano Man is the best song to sing drunk at the end of a party, Mr. Brownstone is the best song to play at a dive bar with a bunch of friends. One of the best rock songs ever. It gets you pumped, you get to call your old man a motherfucker, what’s not to like? Plus, like most great rock songs, it’s about heroin. Too bad awesome skinny snake Axel became fat, dreadlocked Axel. It really is a shame.
9) DJ Quik – I Used To Know Her
Alright, a little rap for y’all. A buddy of mine (who would go on to be the Best Man in my wedding) introduced me to DJ Quik back in high school and I was hooked. From time to time I have been known to bust out a sick rhyme on the show, and almost always, it was stolen from DJ Quik. Rhythm-al-ism is my favorite album of his and I Used To Know Her is my favorite track on the album. It’s about two dudes who both hit the same chick and didn’t realize it until afterwards. “Hit the backside, get the top love, butt nekked in the hot tub.” Loves it.
10) Jonathan Coulton – A Talk with George
I was going to try to avoid repeating artists, but lately I have been obsessed with this song, so I though I would include it. It is inspiring and about the incredible George Plimpton, who among other things, tried to box Sugar Ray and was at the Roosevelt Hotel when Bobby Kennedy was shot and was one of two guys who tackled and held Sirhan Sirhan until authorities arrived. What fucking balls? Jonathan Coulton has a way with words that knocks me on my ass. It contains one of my all favorite versesds “Enjoy yourself and do the thing that matter. Because there isn’t time and space to do it all. Love the things you try, drink a cocktail, wear a tie, show a little grace if you should fall.” It’s really a stunning song for an artist that should be huge. If this was a fair world, Jonathan Coulton would be Top of the Pops while Lady GaGa was blowing dudes for change under an overpass and letting them brick in her mouth.
In honor of the late great Billy Mays, I was asked for ten and am going to throw in one for free. I love this song and wanted to include it. Notice I just put Paul Simon, because he wrote it and sings it! Sure it was on the Simon and Garfunkel’s Sounds of Silence, but let’s face it… Garfunkel was just along for the ride. Kathy’s Song, like Bridge Over Toubled Water are songs that are just perfect and I can’t imagine the artist (in this case Paul Simon ) sitting down at a table and penning. I can only picture the song not existing and then exisiting. I can’t picture him working out the couplets or deciding what key to record it in. They just seem to be what they are… from conception. Plus, after all the breakup songs and rock songs, I wanted a nice love song song, even if it veers into creepy territory, as most great love songs seem to do.
Alright, there is my list of eleven of my favorite songs. Thank god for Youtube. That I could link them and you all can hear what I was writing about. In the comments, tell me some of your all time favorite songs, and why. Be forewarded, if anyone says Freebird, I will track you down and murder you in your sleep. Also, no Rush songs allowed. I don’t want to hear any bullshit about Tom Sawyer or Camera-Eye Man. Fuck Rush up their stupid Canadian asses. Just sayin.
